Do Not Underestimate the Story in the Background: Waves Interrupted

It is not rare that a good idea gets a good realization on the technical level, but while polishing up, someone forgets an important detail in between – the story. Even if the film is not plot-based, it makes a huge difference when the crew is making with some backstory in mind than when there is none. The film still can be good, but there is this cloud of “it could have been better” with all the ends tighten.

Busan Intl. Film Festival 2018 premiered Sri Lankan short film “Waves Interrupted” (2018) by Dimon John, invites on a 13-minute journey into a night full of new experiences of familiar places with a challenged sense of hearing.
